Introduction to Direct Mail for Fundraising

The overall aim of this course is to explore direct mail and various related methods of solicitation such as telemarketing, door-to-door canvassing and silent collectors. It sets out the stages in a direct mail campaign from planning through compiling the mailing list, designing the mail-out and evaluating the outcomes. It considers public attitudes towards telemarketing, how to plan and organize a telemarketing campaign and the call process.

It sets out the stages in a direct mail campaign from the planning stage, through compiling the mailing list, designing the mail-out and evaluating the outcomes; it considers public attitudes to telemarketing, how to plan and organize telemarketing campaign, and the call process; and it discusses how to organize a door-to-door canvass and a silent collector distribution.
